Meet Our Staff

Michelle Adams – Director | Lilly Pilly Teacher

Michelle Adams is a qualified Early Childhood teacher with many years’ experience working in community-based Preschool and Kindergarten settings. She is passionate about sharing in the joy, wonder and curiosity that children bring to the kindergarten year. A strong advocate for Play and the voice of the child, she values an emerging curriculum where children and educators create learning opportunities together. Michelle has a passion for visual art and nature play.

Deborah Alexander – End of Week Teacher

Mrs. Alexander has extensive teaching experience, including 11 years teaching Prep in New Zealand, as well as roles as a Kindergarten teacher and Educational Leader in community kindergartens. Deb believes in fostering curiosityand joy while supporting the development of social and emotional skills within a nurturing environment. She prioritises positive relationships with children and families to ensure a secure, inclusive, and engaging learning space. 

Melissa Graham – Educator

Melissa Graham has very quickly become a valued member her at South Pine. She comes to us with over 24 years of experience. Melissa has completed her Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and is the Educator for both groups. Melissa loves getting to know each child- learning their interests and strengths. She works with and beside teachers, the children and their families to build upon these areas, creating an inclusive Kindy environment where everyone belongs and flourishes.

Shanina Deegan – Office Administrator

Shanina will commence her new role as Office Administrator in 2026. She has been a valued member of our inclusion staff team over the past few years and brings a strong passion for community kindergarten, having had her own children attend community Kindy. With previous experience as a medical receptionist, Shanina joins the administration team to fulfil finance and administrative responsibilities, supporting the smooth running of the service.

Inclusion Support Educators

We employ additional educators to provide targeted support for children with diverse learning needs.

This year, Jeanette Feakes and Julie Stewart are working within each of the groups as a 3rd Educator across each room.
