Welcome to South Pine Kindergarten
South Pine Community Kindergarten provides a warm and friendly atmosphere where children can learn and develop their potential, and parents/guardians feel welcome to join in, make friends and learn with their children.
We have a large playground which includes a large covered sandpit, various climbing fort structures, swing areas, a variety of areas for quiet play or exploration and grassed areas. Our kindy is fortunate to enjoy large shady trees and well-established gardens.

Our History
South Pine Kindergarten has been providing children with memorable childhood experiences for over 45 years and we are committed to a quality play-based learning environment for young children.
Due to some very dedicated people, the South Pine Community Kindergarten first opened its doors in 1978 in a hall loaned by the Presbyterian Church at 58 Strathpine Road, Bald Hills and it soon became affiliated with the Creche and Kindergarten Association. Prior to its opening, there were four years of hard work by several people in the Bald Hills / Strathpine area.
After much continued hard work by interested volunteers of the Association, the Kindergarten opened its own building, at its present location, 200 Stanley Street, Strathpine on 27th April 1987.
Of course, a bank loan was needed and again some dedicated people went as guarantors. These people kept their faith in the Kindergarten and the loan was successfully paid off several years ago. A celebration was held at this time to thank these wonderful supporters. Community involvement continues to be the key element of the Kindy service today. In 2011, as part of the many changes to how kindergartens are operated in Queensland, we appointed The Gowrie (Qld) Inc as our Central Governing Body (CGB) and look forward to continuing to work with them to provide the best outcomes for our kindergarten.
We will have been in our current building for over 35 years. Thanks to the hard work of the families who have been involved with our Kindy, improvements continue to be made and resources purchased.
